The Vela Voyage Pendant Light takes its inspiration from the fluid silhouette of a vessel moving across water. A continuous sweep of North American black walnut forms the defining profile, while a precisely integrated black metal lighting element brings structure and contrast.
Rather than simply illuminating a room, Vela Voyage becomes part of its architecture. From a distance, its long horizontal form draws a clean line through the space. Up close, the natural walnut grain and softly illuminated timber reveal a warmer, more tactile character.
Designed especially for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living spaces, its slim profile creates presence without adding visual weight.
Why We Chose This Design
Many statement pendant lights rely on size or decoration to command attention. With Vela Voyage, the idea is different.
The character comes from proportion, material and light.
The timber body has been shaped into a subtle flowing curve rather than a conventional straight bar. Light washes through the walnut while a separate downward-facing light source provides practical illumination where it is actually needed.
The result is atmospheric from across the room, yet functional at the table.
Dual Lighting
Vela Voyage combines two types of illumination within one sculptural form.
Ambient illumination The integrated light brings out the grain and warmth of the walnut, giving the pendant its distinctive glow.
Downward task lighting A discreet row of LEDs underneath directs light towards the dining table or surface below.
This layered approach creates a softer atmosphere while retaining useful, focused lighting.
Dual Colour Temperature
Switch between 3000K warm light and 4000K neutral light depending on the setting.
3000K creates a warmer atmosphere for evenings and dining, while 4000K provides a clearer, more neutral illumination when required.
Smart Lighting
Vela Voyage supports smart dimming and mobile APP connectivity, allowing the lighting atmosphere to be adjusted more precisely to suit different moments of the day.
